Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SafeSnap. These terms govern your use of the app and form a legally binding agreement between you and SafeSnap.
By downloading, installing, or using SafeSnap, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
SafeSnap is a personal safety companion tool that provides emergency alert tools, evidence recording, location sharing, and contact notification features. SafeSnap is designed to assist in preparedness situations but is NOT a substitute for emergency services and does not guarantee any safety outcome. IMPORTANT: Always call 911 or your local emergency number in a life-threatening emergency. SafeSnap is a supplementary preparedness tool only.
SafeSnap DOES NOT connect you to emergency services such as police, fire, or medical responders. The app notifies your personal emergency contacts only. In any emergency, you should contact your local emergency services (911 in the US) directly. We are not responsible for any failure to receive or respond to alerts sent through SafeSnap. 911 Calling Costs: Dialing 911 may incur charges depending on your mobile carrier, plan type, or location. Prepaid, VoIP, and some international SIM users should check with their carrier regarding any costs associated with placing a 911 call. SafeSnap is not responsible for any charges incurred when contacting emergency services.
You agree to: • Provide accurate information when setting up your account and emergency contacts • Ensure your emergency contacts have consented to receive alerts • Not use SafeSnap for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose • Not use the app to harass, stalk, or monitor others without consent • Keep your account credentials secure • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
You are solely responsible for any recordings or photos made through the Evidence Vault or Camera features. By using these features you confirm that: • You have the legal right to record or photograph in your current location • You have obtained any required consent from individuals being recorded or photographed • You will use recordings only for lawful purposes (e.g., evidence for law enforcement) • You understand that recordings are stored in the cloud and accessible to your designated guardian contact • You acknowledge that recording or photographing without consent may be illegal in your jurisdiction By activating the camera or recording features, you accept full legal responsibility for all content captured. SafeSnap is not responsible for any recordings or photos taken without proper consent, and expressly disclaims all liability for any legal consequences arising from your use of these features.
By enabling location features, you consent to the collection and sharing of your GPS coordinates with your designated emergency contacts during active safety sessions. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings, though this will limit certain safety features.
SafeSnap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee: • That the app will always be available or error-free • That alerts will always be delivered successfully • That the app will prevent harm, injury, or any negative outcome • That GPS location will always be accurate • Any particular safety outcome resulting from use of this app SafeSnap is a preparedness companion tool only. It does not make you safe and should never be relied upon as your sole means of protection. Use of SafeSnap is entirely at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeSnap and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or failure of emergency alerts to be received or acted upon.
The following limitations apply to all features of SafeSnap: CONNECTIVITY & NETWORK DEPENDENCE SafeSnap requires an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data) to send alerts, notifications, and share location. Features may be unavailable or delayed in areas with poor, limited, or no network coverage. SafeSnap is not responsible for any failure of features resulting from lack of connectivity. GPS & LOCATION ACCURACY Location sharing and GPS-based features depend on your device's GPS hardware and satellite signal availability. GPS accuracy may be reduced or unavailable indoors, in densely built urban areas, underground, or in remote locations. SafeSnap does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of location data. ALERT & SMS DELIVERY SMS and push notification delivery depends on third-party carriers and service providers. SafeSnap cannot guarantee that alerts will be delivered, received, or acted upon in a timely manner. Carrier outages, recipient device settings, or network congestion may prevent or delay delivery. SafeSnap is not responsible for undelivered or delayed alerts. DEVICE & PERMISSION DEPENDENCE Camera, microphone, and location features require the relevant device permissions to be granted by the user. SafeSnap's functionality may be limited if permissions are denied or revoked. The app requires a compatible device and operating system to function properly. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES SafeSnap relies on third-party services (including but not limited to Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments, and cloud storage providers). SafeSnap is not responsible for outages, errors, or failures of any third-party service. NO GUARANTEE OF SAFETY OUTCOME Use of SafeSnap does not guarantee personal safety. The app is a supplementary preparedness tool only. SafeSnap expressly disclaims any representation that use of the app will prevent harm, injury, or any negative outcome. Users assume full responsibility for their personal safety.
Certain premium features may require a paid subscription. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact info@mysafesnap.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@mysafesnap.com.
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of SafeSnap after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
